Krushi Mahotsav 2009 : On May 28th Hon'ble Chief Minister has inaugurated the Krishi Mahotsav - 2009 at Anand Agricultural University - Anand. Award winning Soil Health Card scheme aiming at praiseworthy increase in income of farmers. Soil Health Cards have been provided to 700 farmers by I.T. Center. Prof. R.S.Parmar, Director IT, Prof. K.C.Kamani and his team put all the efforts to create this event successful.
Farmers training on medicinal and aromatic plants

Farmers Training on Medicinal and Aromatic Plants was sponsored by National Medicinal Plants Board held at Main Pulse Research Station Model Farm- Vadodara.
Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. M. C. Varshneya inaugurated the function by lighting the lamp and released the training manual prepared by MAP staff. Scientists from Medicinal and Aromatic Plants, AAU, Anand imparted the training to the farmers on aspects of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants cultivation and other related aspects from January 1st to 3rd, 2009. Detailed informations on WTO norms and Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) were also provided.
Thelesemia
Progmam (10-09-2009)
Thelesemia Testing program was organized by the
Director, students’ welfare on 10-9-09 for newly admitted students all
the colleges and Polytechnic school students of AAU in the collaboration
with Indian Red Cross society, A’ branch. All the students were
explained about the Thelesemia and its consequences etc. Total Blood
sample of 379 students were collected for further testing of Thelesemia.

Plantation @ AAU (10-09-2009)
The
plantation Programme was organized at Veterinary College, on 6/8/2009 as
a part of NSS activity. College of Food Processing Technology and M.C.
College of Dairy Science have jointly organized Plantation programme
under N.S.S aegis of unit on 10th September,2009 in
presence of Dr.D.C.Joshi, Principal of college of Food Processing
Technology,Dr.B.P.Shah,Principal and Dean of Dairy Science College,
Dr.Vijyendra Mishra,Chairman of Student Representative Council, Dr. J.P
Prajapati, N.S.S. Prgogramme Officer.
Republic Day celebration (26-01-2010)
Anand
Agricultural University celebrated sixty first Republic Day with full
enthusiasm joy and national spirit. On this occasion Bochasanvasi Akshar
Purushottam Sansthan’s Santvarya, Sadguru Poojya Mahantswmi was
invited as chief guest. Poojya Mahantswmi and Hon. Vice Chancellor
Prof. M. C. Varshneya unfurl the national flag, saluted it and
national Anthem was sung. Prof. M.C. Varshneya narrated the history of
India and told that India has given the world various verities of
crop like Rice, Cotton, Sugarcane, Lotus etc and taught the
world the cultivation of land. India’s role in development of culture
was highlighted.

6-7 February, 2010. Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. M.C. Varshneya has
inaugurated the sports events.
