: The Programme :
The Diploma in Food Technology and Nutrition "Dip.(FTN)" programme consists of 6 Semesters (3 years). The programme commence generally in the month of July/August. The programme comprise of three components – course work, qualifying examinations (internal and external) and training modules. The medium of instructions is English.
: The Course :
The curriculum includes basics in food commodity its science, processing, technology and as well as its importance for human consumption etc. A detailed study on Technology, Science and Engineering involved in Processing of different products, Storage and Packaging, Food Preservation, Quality Assurance, Human Nutrition, Hospital Dietetics etc. will also be covered. Syllabus includes Computer and Communication skill subjects.

: Vocational Training and Project Work :
A strong linkup between institution and industry is the base for the modern education system. Therefore a provision is made for in-plant-training in Food Processing Industry / Health Food Production Unit / Dairy / Hospital / Jim etc. for the one full semester (i.e. 6th Semester). That is backbone for student for job opportunity / entrepreneurship development.
After successful completion of the course, Marksheets and Certificate will be awarded to each student by the Anand Agricultural University established by the Government of Gujarat under Agricultural Universities Act, 2004 (Gujarat Act No. 5 of 2004).
