           The Agricultural Research Station at Dhandhuka is established during the year 1958-59. It is situated on Ahmedabad-Bhavnagar state highway about 3.5 km away from Dhandhuka city. This area is well known as "The Bhal & Coastal Area" of Gujarat under Agro climatic zone VIII. With the establishment of Agricultural University to the state in 1972 under Land Grant Commission, the activities of the station came under its jurisdiction. This research centre is mainly engage for research in Durum wheat, Desi cotton and Chickpea under rainfed as well as restricted irrigation condition. The mandate and brief salient achievement of this centre are given as below.

• Improvement in durum wheat, desi cotton and chickpea crops.
• To conduct research in limited use of irrigation water under Narmada command areas.
