• To organize short and long-term vocational training courses in agricultural and allied vocation for the farmers and rural youth with emphasis on “learning by doing “for higher production on farms and generating self-employment.
•  To organize frontline demonstration on various crops to generating production data and feedback information.
•  To organize training to update the extension personnel with emerging advances in agricultural research on regular basis.
•  To undertake “on-farm testing” for identifying technologies in terms of location specific sustainable land use systems

        Major Thrust Area:

• Improving productivity of paddy, cotton, wheat, mustard, cumin and gram through adopting latest dry land agricultural technology.
•  Management of problematic soils.
•  To encourage farmers for sustainable development through organic farming.
•  Enhancement of the livestock production through scientific breeding, feeding and management practices.
•  Promotion of alternative land use system for agro-forestry and agro-horticultural crops.
• Upliftment of socio economic status of rural women by introduction of income generating activities like sewing, embroidery, fruit preservation etc.
