About the Department
The Department of Vegetable Sciences was established in April 2018. Department offer various courses for cultivation of tropical, sub tropical, temperate and underground crops. Department also teaching the course related to breeding and seed production of vegetable, spices and tuber crops as well as protected cultivation of vegetable crops for undergraduate students. Department provides lab and farm facility where students can be given practical exposure. Department is also involved in development of sustainable and economical technology for vegetable crops. Department also organizing different extension activities such as workshops, seminars, training programmes, farmer day and delivering talks/lectures as well as telephonic guidance.
