Brief information of the department

The Department of Agricultural Extension and Communication was established in 1963. The primary goal of the department is to accelerate agriculture technology transfer through its innovative academic programme to produce skilled communication/extension professionals. Accordingly, the academic curriculum for undergraduate and postgraduate studies has been developed to reflect current agriculture communication trends and extension trends.

Vision

The department's vision is to become a center of excellence to train the students to deliver effective and efficient extension services to the rural people.

Objectives

• To produce an employable skilled human resource for agricultural extension and communication field.
• To develop extension strategy and methodology for extension education, extension service, and researchwork.
