Student Representative Council

The different activities of Polytechnic in Agriculture, AAU, Vaso are carried out under the banner of Student Representative Council (SRC). In this Council, Staff Advisors and Students’ Representative function as the members. The objectives of SRC are:

• To promote co-curricular activities leading the students to the intellectual, social, cultural and physical development so as to prepare them as ideal citizens.
• To encourage sentiments of national integration and of international understanding among the students by arranging group discussions and to develop leadership through different activities which encourage dignity of labour, social service, cooperation, mutual respect etc.
• To promote social relation amongst the students as well as with the teachers.
• To augment academic and co-curricular interest among the students by maintaining sports complex, reading room, library and other facilities.
• To facilitate the students and enhance the attitude of cooperation through several cooperative activities for community development
• To develop a sense of discipline and commitment as an educated individual towards the society.

Vasodhara

Vasodhara ia an annual college magazine of Polytechnic in Agriculture & College of Agriculture, AAU, Vaso. Since Vasodhara, a portmanteau term made of “Vaso” and “dhara”, precisely attributes to activities of Vaso campus as well as the basic requirement of agricultural activities, we finally named it as Vasodhara. The primary objective of Vasodhara is to bring out the creativity of the students and to provide them a platform to express their ideas, views, thoughts, and observations. Students are required to have an expose to all the facets of human life for being the responsible citizens of the society. Hence, the purpose of Vasodhara is to give a voice to shared experiences of the students in artistic way. Along with exposing students to a wide range of creative and scientific expressions, Vasodhara aims at providing a pleasurable reading experience.
