<p class="rtejustify"> GADC 3 (Wagad Gaurav) is a Semi Open boll type variety&nbsp;of&nbsp;<em>Gossypium herbaceum</em>. It gave 34.02, 15.01 and 27.54% higher seed cotton yield and 34.87, 26.67 and 27.28% higher lint yield over check varieties G. Cot.21, ADC 1 and GADC 2, respectively in the rainfed condition&nbsp;of&nbsp;Gujarat&nbsp;state. Variety recorded 44.8% ginning out turn, and fibre length of 22.7 mm, fibre fineness of 5.1 &micro;g/inch and bundle strength of 22.5 g/tex. The variety is moderate tolerant to major disease and pests.</p>

<p class="rtejustify"> Superior in panicle length and number of grains / panicle, it is mid-late maturing, non-lodging and high yielding aromatic medium slender grains variety. Moderately resistant to bacterial leaf blight, sheath rot, leaf blast and resistant to neck blast. Moderately tolerant to gall midge (GMB), stem borer and leaf folder insect-pests.</p>

<p class="rtejustify"> Spanish bunch plant growth habit. The kernels are of Rose Red coloured. This variety has higher oil (52.82%), Medium maturing (117-125 days). The Variety (3715 kg/ha) recorded 12.14% and 21.69% higher pod yield than the check varieties TG-26 (3353 kg/ha) and GJG 31 (3053 kg/ha), respectively. &nbsp;100 kernel weight is 50.89 g.</p>

<p class="rtejustify"> This variety gave 26.30% of higher yield over check variety GC 3 whereas, it found at par with hybrid GCH 7 for seed yield under irrigated condition in middle Gujarat. Under rainfed conditions of Middle Gujarat, it also showed 35.59% higher seed yield than check variety GC 3. Days to flowering, days to maturity and number of nodes upto primary spike indicated earliness of GAC 11 over all the checks. Hence it is more suitable for intensive cultivation in irrigated areas of middle Gujarat. This variety showed resistant against wilt disease.as far as insects it is comparable with sucking pests like thrips, leaf hopper and whitefly infestation. The oil content of this variety is 48.44% which is comparable to checks.</p>

<p class="rtejustify"> This variety gave 17.76 and 13.15 per cent higher green forage yield; 20.42 and 13.92% dry matter yield as well as 31.25 and 33.43% crude protein yield over the checks GFB 1 (LC) and Giant <em>Bajra</em> (NC), respectively in Middle Gujarat conditions. On quality point of view, this variety contains 20.9% Dry Matter, 7.66% Crude Protein, 80.5% Neutral Detergent Fiber, 30.82% Crude Fibre and 42.31% Acid Detergent Fiber content. This variety showed low infestation of rust disease no incidence of downey mildew disease. Low infestation of shoot fly and no infestation of myllocerous weevil.</p>
