Students’ Co-curricular Activities
STUDENT REPRESENTATIVE COUNCILS
Students’ Co-curricular activities are managed by the Students’ Representative Council of the college. The objectives of SRC are:
- To promote co-curricular activities leading the students to the intellectual, social, cultural and physical development so as to prepare them as ideal citizens.
- To encourage sentiments of national integration and of international understanding among the students by arranging group discussions and to develop leadership through different activities which encourage dignity of labour, social service, cooperation, mutual respect, etc.
- To promote social relation amongst the students as well as with the teachers.
- To augment academic and co-curricular interest among the students by maintaining sports complex, reading room, library and other facilities.
- To facilitate the students and enhance the attitude of cooperation through several cooperative activities for community development
- To develop a sense of discipline and commitment as an educated individual towards the society.

NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME
College of Agriculture, AAU, Vaso, runs National Service Scheme (NSS) and carries out various activities. A bird-eye view of NSS activities carried out in the year 2020-21 is given below:

Special Camp:
College of Agriculture, AAU, Vaso regularly organizes a seven-day Special NSS Camp at nearby villages of Vaso Tehsil. But this year due to the threat of COVID-19, the camp was not organised. The NSS volunteers were instructed to bring awareness about the COVID-19 pandemic and how the society can safely fight against it. The students were advised to follow the guidelines of COVID-19 issued time-to-time by the Government of India and Government of Gujarat. The students were also encouraged help the needy living in their respective vicinity.
ACTIVITIES OF SRC AND NSS: SOME GLIMPSES
The year 2020-21 was greatly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. It brought grave threats to each and every walk of human life. All the cultural, sports, and athletic activities wherein the physical gathering is required were suspended in the academic institutions. Following the Covid-19 guidelines issued time-to-time by the Government of India and the Government of Gujarat, the cultural, sports, and athletic competitions were not organised at the College of Agriculture, AAU, Vaso. Following are the glimpses of the activities that were organised online or by following the Covid-19 guidelines strictly and maintaining social distancing:
