Derol Centre of Anand Agricultural University, is the main Research Station in Gujarat with the mandate to take up multidisciplinary research work on drilled paddy to meet the need of developing production technologies for increasing production of drilled paddy of Gujarat.
The station is also working for multidisciplinary research on crop like groundnut and mustard as well as on pulse crop like pigeonpea, mungbean udidbean, chickpea and clusterbean. It also serve as seed production unit for maize, drilled paddy, castor, greengram, chickpea, clusterbean and other pulse crops. The station is located 1 km away from Kalol town which is on Vadodara – Godhra state highway and 1 km away from Derol railway station (Vadodara – Delhi B. G. Line ).
